Abstract
For sampling of very hard fired ceramics (porcelain, stoneware, etc.) diamond burrs should be used. Tests by neutron activation analysis showed that diamond burrs introduce significant contamination only for cobalt and antimony out of 21 elements commonly reported in NAA of pottery.
