Presentation of the proposals by the London Bureau for Urban design (project team, Pankaj Patel and partners) for redeveloping dereclict dockland areas in Antwerp, Belgium, proposals which in their opinion, extended the grain and pattern of the old city, generating a new structure for the needs of late 20th century life; however, from the view point of historic preservation, outstanding portions of the city's industrial heritage would undergo irretrievable destruction.
