Abstract
Identifies ways of conserving graphic art works and document, which are often damaged because of bad handling and the bad storage conditions in which they are maintained. Examines the following points: the places where documents are kept; separation of the collections (drawings, photographs, archives etc.); environmental conditions; the materials and different types of storage furniture; and protective measures; envelopes, boxes, capsules (encapsulation), rollers, and frames. Concludes that restoration treatment of graphic works can only be totally effective if it is reinforced by long-term conservation measures.
