Abstract
Medicinal waters spring forth here from the Danube bank, parallel with Margaret Island on the Buda side of the capital. These thermal waters were probably used as early as the Roman era and with the bathing establishments raised by the Turks in 1572, later alterations and enlargements, they have served bathers up to our days. The task of the present project is to reconstruct the domed, nine-branched space of Turkish times, to reconstruct the bathing ensemble built in the middle of the 19th century and to provide up-to-date therapeutic facilities in such a way that the historic value of the ancient monuments be preserved. -- AATA
