Abstract
Text of the program for training musical instrument restorers developed by the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, containing the prerequisites for admission (previous occupation as an instrument maker), the subjects of practical and theoretical instruction, monetary aspects (no fees asked by the museum, no fees paid to the trainee), etc. The training aims to prepare a restorer to specialize in one or two groups of instruments with a sound knowledge of the others. The trainee will also receive an introduction into other fields of restoration.
