Abstract
The tradition of quilting among the Amish has produced many beautiful examples of this craft. Although Amish quilts are made primarily for utilitarian, not aesthetic reasons, the resulting designs are sophisticated, intricate, and aesthetically pleasing. The Amish Nine Patch quilt is an example of superior Amish quilt design.
