Abstract
A model of the data obtained in complex geophysical observations on archaeological sites is described. According to the proposed model, the results of geophysical observations are presented in the form of tables or prospecting units. The rows of the tables contain data about one point of survey; the columns, the set of values of one parameter. The data model is a combination of the hierarchic and relational approach. The hierarchy is connected with the ordering of the data according to one or several key parameters such as coordinates, time, etc., and the elaboration of effective software for spatial operations of the data. The relational approach is connected with the tabular form of data presentation. This model is maintained by a system for digital processing of geophysical data, referred to as ARGUS, carried out by the Institute of Thracology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
