Abstract
A rectangular object similar in dimensions to a Roman castrum was discovered on an airphoto and investigated by geophysical methods. Computer image processing was carried out on the aerial photo. Geophysical anomalies were checked by shallow drillings prior to digging trial trenches which uncovered surprising results.
