Abstract
A brief description of the shoulder harp with reference to surviving Egyptian examples, and an attempt to reconstruct the instrument using similar present-day models in Africa and Burma, and the surviving Egyptian iconography. The author arrives at several new conclusions relating to structure and tuning procedures. An illustration shows the completed reconstruction.
