Abstract
The purpose of this research project was to examine the result of American made adhesive products on old fragile textiles in an effort to preserve them. No one adhesive was found to be the answer for all textiles, although PVA was found to be satisfactory in many cases. As a backing, crepeline often appeared to be the best choice.
