Abstract
In most typical work, the upper coat system based on nitrocellulose will provided the basic needs. If flex requirements increase, nitrocellulose can be extended by urethanes. When flex requirements rise above the capabilities of extended nitrocellulose, vinyl tops then become a consideration. Then, if wear requirements become a further issue, vinyls must be assisted by urethane and silicone additives.
