Abstract
The casting method is of primary importance in determining the technique used to restore or repair metal castings. The main techniques of casting are: permanent mold, sand mold, and investment castings. Hot and cold work in metal fabrication have specific meanings. The basic modern working processes for metals are forging, rolling, extrusion, drawing and deep drawing. Soldering, brazing, welding, and laser/electron bean welding are used for joining metals.
