Physical and chemical examination of samples of lime plaster flooring from Jericho reveal that there were few differences in quality and technology in the earliest lime plasters. Microscopic examination demonstrates that the samples have a very fine texture, the result of very thorough calcinating or more likely, very fine grinding. -- AATA
