Compositions that crosslink on irradiation, forming three-dimensional macromolecular structures, have many advantages and are being used in an increasingly wide variety of applications. In this article their rapidity of formation and possible selectivity are discussed, as well as the photocrosslinkable resin systems available; the industrial applications of these systems are reviewed. -- AATA
