Abstract
Determination of lead isotope ratios from a sample of galena associated with a human burial from the Predynastic period and comparison with lead ratios from mines in the Eastern Desert of Egypt indicate that the galena was obtained from mines located in the Red Sea hills of the Eastern Desert.
