These two articles are based on spectrographic analyses of copper and bronze from Geoy Tepe in the Iranian Azarbaijan, excavated during 1948. The compositions of sixteen third and second millennium pieces are compared with those of bronzes from other contemporary sites. The structures are discussed, and hypotheses are made on the methods of manufacture. An attempt is made in the second part to give a brief survey of metallurgy from the standpoint of interna tional contacts. -- AATA
