Abstract
Chlorite bleaching may be achieved in three ways: in a bleach bath of dilute sodium chlorite-formaldehyde mixture, in a bleach bath of chlorine dioxide gas dissolved in water, or with chlorine dioxide gas acting on slightly dampened paper in a closed chamber.
