Abstract
Photodocumentation of the process of designing and executing Mural with Blue Brushstroke in Lichtenstein's studio and on site. Equitable's curator, Pari Stave, comments on the mural's support and transfer of maquette to canvas. A conservator was consulted in regard to the choice of support for the mural. Slits are located in the canvas over expansion joints to allow for building's movement without damage to the canvas. Sizing, priming, and selection of paints are discussed. Adjustments that had to be made on the canvas, where the projected drawing had not aligned properly with building features, are identified.
