Abstract
Photographs or double-exposure holographic images are presented. The holographic images are of panel paintings on wood, and polychromed wood carvings. Temperature or humidity was varied between holographic exposures io reveal subsurface cracks, detachments and fills. Two holographic exposures of the same subject, superimposed with a lapse between exposures produce holographic interferometry -rendering visible pattern in the holographic image. Fringe rings represent changes in the structural composition of the subject.
