This is a metallurgical-analytical study of 16 bowls, now in the British Museum, from Layard's excavations. The analysis showed the usual trend, sheet metal bodies of unleaded bronze with about 10% tin and the cast handles, etc., tend to have variable amounts of lead and much less tin. The handles were attached by both rivets and solder. Contains an interesting note on the survival of dendrites on the sheet metal bronze of the bowls. -- AATA
