Abstract
Description of the measurements, carried out on copper alloys, employing a portable radio-isotope x-ray fluorescence equipment. This unit allows in a non-destructive way, the quantitative determination of copper, zinc, tin and lead in the alloys, in a measuring time of about 10 seconds. The 3 doors of the florence baptistery and 8 doors of the S. Marco Basilica in Venice have been analysed.
