Activation analysis has become an established analytical technique and is one of the obvious uses of a research reactor. The author summarizes the following subjects: general status of activation analysis, sensitivity, chemical separation and physical determination, non-destructive anaysis, examples of the method, facilities and potentiality of activation analysis in the solution of local problems.
