Abstract
Demolition of Jobbers Canyon, a National Register historic district in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, was opposed by P.R.O.U.D. (People for Responsible Omaha Urban Development). The legal struggle failed to achieve its goals. A founding member of this preservation movement gives advice to local groups who may face similar battles. Strategies that must be taken to protect historic districts are listed and discussed.
