Abstract
Adult confused flour beetles, Tribolium confusum Jacquelin duVal; adult cigarette beetles, Lasioderma serricorne (F.); and larvae of the black carpet beetle, Attagenus megatoma (F.); were treated topically with pyrethins plus Tropital (piperonyl bis(2-(2-butoxyethoxyl) ethyl) acetyl) or with pyrethins plus piperonyl butoxide. In general, pyrethins plus piperonyl butoxide was more effective than pyrethins plus Tropital as a direct-contact toxicant against the test insects.
