Abstract
Pirimiphos-methyl topically was more toxic than malathion to adults of the cigarette beetle, the red flour beetle, and the confused flour beetle, and to larvae of the black carpet beetle, the indian meal moth, and the almond moth. Bay SRA 7660 (phenylglyoxlonitrile oxime(0)-0,0, -dimethyl phosphorothioate) was more toxic than primiphosmethyl to the larval stages of insects but was less toxic than malathion to adults of both species of flour beetles.
