Abstract
Reviews the project aimed at protecting and preserving historic Saint Mary's City, the State Heritage Museum and Park located on the site of Maryland's 17th-century capital. The Preserving Saint Mary's Townlands Study Committee was entrusted with the project and was charged to direct the planning needed to accelerate continued development of the park and improve preservation of the cultural landscape in and around the archaeological site.
