At the Rathgen Research Laboratory at Berlin a systematic examination of Peruvian pottery has started. As a first step a series of ceramics from Ancon, belonging to the Chancay, Huari and Inca cultures have been described stylistically and analyzed by microscopy, neutron activation analysis, x-ray fluorescence analysis and thermal analysis. -- AATA
