Abstract
A shrine dating from ca. 1400 (Namur, Musée des Arts anciens du Namurois) was examined and treated from 1969-71 at the Brussels Institute. It is identified as a shrine of St. Mauritius. A description is given of the structure and composition of support, ground and paint layer, painting technique, and the state of preservation. Since the shrine was free from any restoration, the treatment was limited to conservation.
