A standard UV/visible spectrophotometer has been converted into a color measuring system by housing an integrating sphere in the sample compartment. The procedure for spectrophotometric identification of pigments used in color formulations from their log A spectrum is described. A desk-top calculator may be coupled to the spectrophotometer for on-line computation. -- AATA
