Abstract
In advising curators on exhibiting costumes the author continually emphasizes the priority of conservation in selecting specimens for display, preliminary cleaning and repair or restoration, mounting and support, and maintaining a safe environment in the display. Materials and procedures designed to protect the object are clearly described. Illustrations show steps in preparing safe mounts, An appendix by J.V.
