These methods protect against damage from distortions, localized stress, and poor handling. Techniques for constructing the clamp bar are diagrammed, including drilling, attaching the felt, and the finished clamp bar. Pin couching is used for textiles that have weaknesses, irregularities, or heavy texture or pile.
