Abstract
Calcium oxalates were detected on the original exposed marble surfaces of the Temple of Zeus, Euromos, in a rural area, and of the Temple of Augustus, Ankara, in a polluted area. In the case of Ankara, the calcium oxalate was present in the new film developed after the loss of a thin exfoliation layer.
