Abstract
While conducting magnetic surveying at the Celtic grave sites at Makotrasy in the district of Kladno, Czechoslovakia, a number of anomalous readings indicated the presence of iron swords buried with the remains of the warriors. Typically these burials are oriented along a north south line with the points of the swords directed south. The author describes in detail readings associated with two swords and tries to determine if there is a possibility of using this information for archaeological prospection.
