Abstract
Aspergillus flavus strain 1210 was isolated from damaged silk fabrics. This wild strain and stock cultures of A. flavus were grown in the laboratory on Czapek-Dox agar. Conidia suspensions were distributed uniformly over silk, cotton, and polyester fabrics and incubated for seven days at 28°C, and the growth of various strains is reported. The aged mycelium produced numerous conidia which appeared in the form of fine encrustations on the fabric surface.
