Abstract
Neutron activation analysis (NAA) was used to examine 10 glass samples, including six bracelets, one ringbead, one bead of another type, a vessel, and a fragment of glass decoration of one of the bracelets, found at a settlement site of the late La Tène period at Lovosice, District of Litomerice, Czechoslovakia. The composition of bracelet and bead glass did not differ from that established by analysis of Celtic glass finds from Bohemia studied by the authors. The high antimony content of a yellow bracelet foil is remarkable. Also analyzed were three samples of slag-like matter which have been thought of as possible evidence for glass production. The results, however, do not seem to bear out this suggestion.
