The moisture content of the wood samples was determined at the conclusion of tests on wood preservatives using the agar-wood block and the soil-wood block methods with five preservatives over a range of concentrations. The wood moisture content varied with the concentration and the retention of preservative, and differed in the two test methods. It affected the threshold value of decay resistance of the fungicides. -- AATA
