Strength properties were determined for clear wood, clear laminated veneer and clear plywood of red lauan (<i>Shorea sp.), white lauan (<i>Pentacme sp.) and kapur (<i>Dryobalanops sp.). The properties of clear plywood were also compared with those of plywoods made from veneers with defects such as holes and splits.
