Abstract
A brief survey of the findings in two caves on the island of Korcula indicates that the material belonging to the Croatian culture of the Middle and Late Neolithic includes the use of light colored pottery with broad red bands. Found in the Vela spilja, this style of ware resulted from the contacts between the neolithic cultures of Dalmatia and those of southern Italy. -- AATA
