Abstract
Gives a succinct report on the organization of conservation training at the State School for Restorers, covering a brief history, a description of the facilities and the programs that include courses in the conservation of furniture, books, paper, textiles, glass, ceramics, easel paintings, and painted objects. The strict selection procedure and the modalities of practical training are noted, as is the resulting presence of graduates in the United States, the United Kingdom, and in institutional and private workshops in the Netherlands. -- AATA
