Abstract
A brief report on the excavation of the tomb of a New Kingdom official and his family at Saqqaro, Egypt, includes a description of the shape, decoration, and manufacture of the unusually large number of wooden coffins. Some 27 specimens (and some fragments) were mummiform, with flat or vaulted lids. Ten rectangular or trapezoidal coffins were also noted. A scale drawing and detailed description were made of each coffin, but are not included here. The report also includes a brief history of the tomb, a description of the objects found, and the pottery.
