Abstract
The authors suggest a method for the relative evaluation of the thermal fatigue strength of materials which involves, in the case of a uniaxial stressed condition, the use of the strain or the corresponding stress with the coefficient of linear expansion taken into account. For the evaluation of this strength in the case of a complex stressed condition caused by the presence of a temperature gradient we recommend approximate criteria.
