Abstract
The mass spectrograph is not considered to be an instrument that will replace the emission spectrograph, because it is inherently more complicated. On the other hand, it is an extremely useful instrument and can handle problems of a semiquantitative nature that the emission spectrograph and other methods cannot handle, and thus it complements these methods.
