Abstract
Radiological and optical methods have been used principally in studying the complex mechanism of bone fossilization, and not for solving problems of dating. Some of them, however, have been found useful for determining the antiquity of fossil bones. The purpose of this paper is to give a rapid survey of the techniques used and a statement of the results obtained.
