Abstract
A relatively simple method has been devised for determining quickly and easily the position and slope of a regression line by the least square method, using a surveyor's planimeter. This technique can be used for plotting data from heat aging of paper or in general experimental studies of a similar nature. With practice, a research worker can obtain a good approximation of the slope of a deterioration curve by eye, through the centroid, if the data are reasonably consistent.
