In this final part, the author concludes his article by dealing with the impact resistance distribution for different materials, deformation, specimen rigidity and compression waves. The effects of dimension, temperature, speed of impact and striler shape on impact failures are also discussed. The first part of the article, describing standards, apparatus and methods for testing as well as different types of failure, was published in the September issue of British Plastics.
