A monograph based on collections during a Colombo Plan assignment in 1966-1970 and later completed at the Entomology Branch, Forest Research Institute & Colleges, Dehra Dun, India. Illustrated descriptions (with keys) are given of 103 species and subspecies, including 38 taxa described for the first time. Full synonymies and distributions both inside and outside Sabah are included. The new species <i>Stylotermes roonwali</i> is the first record of the Stylotermitidae in Sabah. -- AATA
