The properties of aluminium lignosulphonates as fiberboard binder were studied. A correlation was found between the amount of water-insoluble substances after thermal treatment and the quantity of aluminium, pH, and conditions of the treatment. The charges of aluminium lignosulphonates after the thermal treatment were studied by different methods. The dry formed foberboards were produced in laboratory using modified lignosulphonates as binders.
