Abstract
The effect of temperature, Na2SO3 concentration, and time of the reagent acting, on the physical- chemical properties of TMP from aspen was studied. At Na2SO3 concentration 17. 5per thousand (on wood>, temperature 130-150°C, and the reaction time 30-40 min, the strength properties (breaking length, resistance to tear, rupture, and folding) of the pulp were significantly improved. However, the pulp yield decreased down to 80-85per thousand on o.d. wood.
