Abstract
During the third quarterly report period additional studies were reported on the application of acrylic resins and chlorosilanes to artificially degraded cotton fabrics. Acrylic resins should increase the strength and consolidate fragile, degraded textile fibers. The latexes themselves have outstanding resistance to degradation from ultra-violet light and heat. They normally do not stiffen or yellow with ageing of heat treatment.
