Abstract
Silk fibers were irradiated with gamma rays. Changes of the mechanical properties of irradiated silk fibers were discussed from the stress-strain measurement. Strength and elongation of undegummed silk decreased in the early stage of irradiation, while that of degummed silk decreased with doses above 4 Mrad. -- AATA
